Made in the style of Art Deco, this contemporary ring is set with a European cut diamond which weighs 1.71 carats. It is what, at one time, would have been called “Cape” color, after the Cape Peninsula of Africa, location of that continent’s earliest diamond mines from the 19th century. We grade it M-N-O in color, and VS1 in clarity. It is flanked by six sapphires, accented with 12 single cut diamonds in the pierced platinum setting with milgrain detailing. The ring is a finger size 6/4; it may be sized up or down by about two sizes.
