Big and bold, these vintage earrings feature European cut diamonds with an estimated total weight of 9 carats. The handmade setting features an engraved platinum bezel and wonderfully detailed gallery work on the back. These diamonds are “Cape” in color, meaning they range in the K-L-M color, like many of the diamonds mined in the Southern African Cape Peninsula in the late 19th Century. Also typical of those mines, they are quite clean internally; we grade them VVS-VS. The earrings measure about ½” across, including the bezel. Imagine the history these earrings have seen!
